Students have begun arriving at school and setting up their dorm rooms with supplies
from the Freshman Fifteen Boston.
We hope all of our 97 recipients have a successful start to the school year.
New additions to our packages of dorm essentials and school supplies are
personal hygiene items donated from Hope and Comfort in Newton, MA
and WallPops! donated from Brewster Fabrics in Randolph, MA.

Last year, The Freshman Fifteen Boston (FFB) asked our supporters to participate in The Boston Globe’s GRANT program by entering FFB as their charity of choice. We had a terrific response and came in 219 out of the 3,646 charities that participated. This entitles FFB to a free ad that is scheduled to run in the main news section of The Boston Globe on Monday, March 26th.
The Freshman Fifteen Boston just finished shipping dorm room and school supplies to 86 students going to 35 different colleges.
Take a look at two dorm room photos we received.
City on a Hill Graduation
On June 8, 2017, Susan, Carolyn and Ruth were invited to attend the City on a Hill graduation. The twelve recipients of the Freshman Fifteen Boston packages were announced at the ceremony. Here are two of the students, both headed to Colby-Sawyer College this Fall.

Thanks to our generous donors,
86 boxes are ready to be filled with school supplies
for this year’s 86 Freshman Fifteen Boston students.
This surpasses our goal for the year.
In 2016, we funded 78 students with dorm room essential and school supplies. Pictured are 13 of our student awardees from the City on a Hill school in Boston at their high school graduation last May. The Freshman Fifteen has partnered with City on a Hill for the past five years. This year, we hope to be able to offer additional spots to the City on a Hill school at their New Bedford location.
